I want to coment here in case others have confussion with capitalism problem. Anthropocene is a thing of humans beings, not just capitalism. We are the most invasive species of all geologic times. In Hawaii, i.e., when first europeans arrived, they found exotic and diverse nature, wonderful biodiversity. But archaeologists have discovered that early, prior to the arrival of first humans, before the first indigenous who reached Hawaii, there was a biodiversity much much more wonderful, more animals, more plants of different kinds in fossil record, so first humans started the anthropocene, not capitalist only. Capitalist system only make thimgs extremely worse, and also impossible to reach solutions to the problem of human footrpint on earth. In all parts of the world fossils shows the same, great mammals were killed for hunting or by forest degradation they lost habitats and became extinct, like mamuth, gigantic rinos in Africa, turtles the size of a volkswagen in south america, and all, everywhere, all those extictions concide when first humans arrived at each place. You know first humans beings started in Africa and were coloniziing all continents in different times, well, in each arrival at a new continent, first humans fossil records coincide with the fossils record of several species of plants and animals extiction. Hunting, fire, first humans take fire with them burning forests to protect from wild animals, etc.
